Ayla Bombe Washing Station

Was founded in 2010 and serves roughly 375 smallholder farms in the village of Bombe, in the Sidama region. The Sidama region is known for its high-quality coffees due to the optimal growing conditions in that region that allow for a slower ripening process. Once received and sorted, this coffee was processed naturally by laying the cherries out to dry on raised beds for anywhere from 8-25 days, constantly being rotated throughout this period. The results were exquisite.
